Environmental ethics is the discipline in philosophy that studies the moral relationship of human beings with, and also the value and moral status of, the environment and its non-human contents.
It is important to study environmental ethics because human beings are a part of the environment and so are the other living beings, including plants and animals. It exerts influence on a large range of disciplines including law, sociology, theology, economics, ecology and geography.
Environmental pollution is one of the major issues in India today because it affects the health of the people. It is leading to many types of respiratory diseases and causing many deaths every year.
