Strategic Policy and Facilitation Bureau

To set up a Strategic Policy and Facilitation Bureau, the AYUSH Ministry and Invest India have collaborated. SPFB will support the ministry in policy making and strategic initiatives that will pave the way for the full potential of the sector and stimulate investment and growth.
 
AYUSH- the Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy, founded in 2014 aims at developing education, research and propagation of indigenous alternative medicine systems in India. The Ministry is headed by a Minister of State, which is currently held by Shripad Yesso Naik. 
 
SPFB includes:
·It is one of the steps taken by the ministry to chart future directions along which the stake-holding groups of the AYUSH Sector can move.
·Knowledge Creation and Management
·Strategic and Policy-Making Support
·State Policy bench marking to formulate uniform guidelines/regulations regarding AYUSH sector in India
·Follow up and facilitation of investment cases and MoUs, and coordination among different Department, organisations and States.
·Invest India would work with companies and other institutions on issue resolution across States and among various sub-sectors.
·Project monitoring for Inter-Ministerial Groups, Skill Development Initiatives, setting up Strategic Intelligence Research Unit and initiating an Innovation Program.
 
As per the statement released by the AYUSH Ministry, at the time of the Covid-19 pandemic, such a strategy unit can be of immense support. Invest India will deploy highly trained and expert resources to help in the implementation and execution of the plans of the Ministry of AYUSH.
